We have put a few policies in place with the input from our staff and guests to better serve your needs.

Cancellation & Deposit Policy

Deposit is required, in the form of a credit card number or personal cheque/money order. Reservation is not confirmed until a “personal cheque” deposit is received and cleared. The balance is due immediately upon check-in. Should you decide to cancel your reservation for any reason the following shall apply:

Nightly or Weekend Guest Rooms

Value of deposit retained is 1 night rate for single night reservation, or 50% of total account for a multiple night/room reservation.

Cancellation fees with more than 7 days notice, in advance of intended arrival: No charges will apply.

Cancellation fees with less than 7 days notice, in advance of intended arrival: No charge, if able to fill the vacancy. If unable to fill vacancy, 1 night rate for a single night/room reservation, or 50% of total account for a multiple night reservation.

Less than 24 hour cancellation fees, or "no-show" fees: Your deposit will be forfeit in its entirety and the balance owing on your account for the full rental rate will become due and payable immediately and applied against your credit card.

Weekly Suites and Cottage Rentals

Value of 50% deposit retained is per unit and per time booked.

Cancellation fees with minimum of 45 days notice, in advance of intended arrival: An administration fee of $25.00 fee will apply and your deposit will be returned.

Cancellation in less than the minimum 45 days notice, in advance of intended arrival: An administration fee of $25.00 will apply and the balance of your deposit will be returned to you if we can fill the vacancy, however your deposit will be forfeited in its entirety if we are unable to fill the vacancy.

Less than 24 hour cancellation fees, or "no-show" fees: Your deposit will be forfeit in its entirety and the balance owing on your account for the full rental rate will become due and payable immediately and applied against your credit card.

Miscellaneous

Pets
We love pets and they are welcome to stay with you in your cottage (please keep them leashed at all times and pickup after them), however the main lodge, including the restaurant, patio and all decks and rooms are designated pet free.

Smoking
Following the lead of most municipalities in Ontario we have designated that all cottages permit smoking but the entire main lodge including all decks, rooms, restaurant, balconies and our store are completely smoke free.

Swimming
All beaches and shorelines at the resort are unsupervised and children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Swimming is at your own risk.

Lost or Stolen Articles
Whitestone Lake Resort will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items. Please keep your valuables with you or locked in your vehicle at all times.

Rate Changes
All rates, fees and/or programs are subject without notice.
